Support Troubleshooting Guide
Quick checks for common local print agent problems.
1) Agent Unreachable
- Confirm service is running from Start Menu tools or status script.
- Verify POS Agent URL is
http://127.0.0.1:17888. - If still failing, reinstall the latest installer.
2) Invalid API Key
- Open
C:\ProgramData\EmralPOS\agent-config.json. - Copy the exact
apiKeyvalue into POS settings. - Save and test again.
3) Printer Not Found
- Confirm the printer is installed in Windows and online.
- Re-select printer in POS settings if printer name changed.
- For shared/network printers, verify service account access.
4) Timeouts
- Check local firewall rules for loopback and service binary.

C:\ProgramData\EmralPOS\logs\agent.log. - Restart service and test with a small print job.
5) SmartScreen Warning
Installer is currently unsigned. Verify checksum from downloads before continuing.
